Can U Handle It
I originally wrote this piece of music for my podsafe music collection, “Daphna’s Podcast Pizza”, but got so attached to it that I decided to put it on my website instead, where hopefully more people will get to enjoy this little piece.
The Conversation
As I mentioned, jazz has had a very strong influence on the music I write and this piece is no exception. I titled it as such because I wrote it for two pianos and standup bass. The pianos are conversing with each other over the course of the entire piece and the music is threaded with intermittent snippets of drunk-sounding ragtime, a brief jazzed variation of Beethoven’s famous piano piece Fur Elise, as well as brief references to Mozart/Beethoven piano styles.
Jazzy Chestnuts
I arranged this song into a jazz piece when I was studying jazz piano, but I had never actually recorded it; with GarageBand and a few small changes and additions here and there, it was done just in time for a Christmas past.
Jazz, meet Rock
As with "Can U Handle It", I originally wrote this piece of music for my podsafe music collection, “Daphna’s Podcast Pizza”, but got so attached to it that I decided to put it on my website instead, where hopefully more people will get to enjoy this little piece.
Jazzy Beethoven
As with “Chestnuts Roasting”, this too I composed many moons ago when I was studying jazz piano. Somehow of all the classical pieces I had come across, the piano piece by Beethoven, “Fur Elise”, inspired me to transform it into the jazz genre. I hope Beethoven would approve.
